Silence is a monthly reference magazine on the alternative press. Its 5, 500 issues are mainly distributed on a subscription basis with a membership of about 4,000. It is estimated to have a 15,000 strong lectorate. It is at the crossroad of various movements -ecological, environmental, political, pacifist, feminist- encouraging local and international forms of solidarity. More than a hundred books are reviewed each year, with a special focus on that month's favorite release.
We have lately decided to include musical reviews. Special attention will be paid to originality, creativity and the political involvement of the artists.
